Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
THE ARTFUL SCAVENGER, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates The Artful Recipe Club (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and, when you make a purchase or start a membership, billing and shipping details. We also collect limited information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
- Account data: name, email, hashed password, membership status, and order history.
- Transaction data: items purchased, amounts, and shipping address. Full payment card numbers are never stored on our servers.
- Usage data: analytics about how you interact with the Service, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process payments and orders, manage your membership, respond to your requests, send service and marketing communications you have not opted out of, prevent fraud, and comply with our legal obligations.
3. Advertising and Analytics
We advertise this Service through Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads). Microsoft Advertising places the Microsoft Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag — a small piece of code and an associated cookie — on pages of this site. The UET tag collects information such as the pages you visit, actions you take here (for example, starting a free trial, subscribing, or completing a purchase), general device and browser information, and approximate location.
We use this data for two purposes: conversion tracking, so we can measure which ads led to a sign-up or purchase, and remarketing/retargeting, so we can show you ads for the Service on other websites you visit after you have been here. Microsoft Advertising may also use this data in accordance with its own privacy practices.
You can review Microsoft's data practices in the Microsoft Privacy Statement and manage your ad personalization settings at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings. To opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly, visit optout.aboutads.info (US) or, if you are in the EU/UK, youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out will not stop advertising generally, but it will make the ads you see less tailored to your activity.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as payment processors, shipping carriers, email and analytics providers), when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer. These providers are bound to use your information only as needed to perform their services for us.
5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email info@artfestivalthornebrook.com.
6. Your Rights Under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@artfestivalthornebrook.com.
7. Data Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Transaction records are typically retained for up to seven years. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or de-identified form. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and one-way password hashing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
